Presentation of FIRE Academic members: Wuhan University of Science and Technology
WUST is committed to pioneering refractory innovation and nurturing global talent for a sustainable and intelligent high-temperature industry future.
Refractories are the foundation of modern industry, supporting steelmaking, energy, aerospace, and other advanced manufacturing sectors. At Wuhan University of Science and Technology, we have spent decades building one of China’s leading hubs for refractory research and talent development.
Since joining the FIRE Network in 2010, our international collaborations in education and research have expanded significantly. Together with FIRE’s university and industry partners, we have launched meaningful joint projects and established key platforms such as the Joint International Research Laboratory of Refractories and Metallurgy.
Through long-term exchanges and cooperation, we have advanced the field and built enduring friendships. As the refractory and metallurgical industries move toward a low-carbon and intelligent future, we look forward to continuing this journey with our FIRE partners and contributing to global innovation and sustainable development.
